Home is where the heart is

Little stone heart from the beach – Sardinië (Italy)
Three years ago, I started collecting hearts.
Not every heart is good enough, it has to have a certain color and the material has to be right. White hearts, silver hearts, stone or wooden hearts and hearts made out of fabric, they all found a place in our house. White, pink or natural colors are my favorites. The material that it’s made from gives it that softer or stronger look. So every now and then you will find a heart passing by in my pictures.
I love hearts!
My dearest friend Patricia makes handmade hearts like these.
Handmade by Patricia.
She crochet them. I don’t know how she does it. To me it all looks very complicated. They are a lovely gift for a nursery in Pink or Blue, or in White for a wedding.  I think I will make a garland of hearts with them. You can also decorate a pillow with one in the centre, make a row of hearts on a duvet cover or simply hang one on a hook. Enough possibilities!

I think they are so lovely, what do you think of them?

Love,
Maureen

What a beautiful heart and such a wonderful thing to collect! Did you know that the seeds inside of a Rose of Sharon seedpod are heart shaped? I didn’t know this until one day I happened to break open a seed pod and discovered it. So glad to have found you and good luck with your upcoming move.

    God Bless,
    Kathleen
