Sunny Monday ~ Swiss style

“Just living is not enough… One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower”

After some rainy days, the sun finally came back!
I have to say, I am a sunshine girl. I really, really like it when the sun comes out. Everything looks so much nicer (plus I finally can wear my summer clothes again). Today when I walked outside, I noticed many little beautiful things, which I don’t always notice anymore. So I wanted to give you a glimpse of what my Sunny Monday looked like.

~ Lovely field where I walk the dog ~

 ~ Cute contrasting colors ~

Later I went to a field where you can pick flowers, Swiss style. That means, you have to pay in a box, there is nobody there to collect your payment. It all works on honesty, even in the year 2010, isn’t that amazing?
 I really love this principle!

~ Pick your own flowers ~

So I went with my youngest daughter, we picked 6 sunflowers and paid 1 frank each for them!
How cheap is that! I come from Flower Country, so living here, where every single flower
is sooo expensive, finding fresh flowers for this price I think is pretty good and it was also fun to do!

Back at home I put them in a big pitcher I found at a thrift store.

~ Blissful moment ~

Fresh flowers, a cup of tea and a magazine. I hope your week started as sunny as mine!
Also,
before I forget,
Keep an eye on my blog this coming week, I have something to tell you….

  1. A House and Home

Beautiful! I love how sunflowers point towards the sun and follow it from dawn until dusk. We joined a farm this summer where we get fruits and veggies. They also let us pick all of the flowers we want – black-eyed susans, brilliant zinnias, sunflowers and all kinds of flowers I don’t even know the names of! It is often my favorite day of the week. I can’t wait to hear what you have to tell us!
