Friday Flower

~ Purple Calla Lily ~
I bought these last week in Amsterdam when I was there for a quick trip
(yes, in between moving house…).
I love the purple color and the feminine shapes and then I mixed it with some pink berries. Maybe not a combination one would make, but I like to do things a bit different.
Flowers are the perfect way of saying Thank You or Good Luck.
Today my Friday Flower is dedicated to two very lovely people in Blog Land.
To Jill, from Nice Day at Rosies, I want to say Thank You!
For making me a lavender heart the moment she saw my order (and I want to order more,  look at her cushions, they are beautiful!).
To KarenSue, from Sue Bee, I want to say Good Luck!
Not so long ago she opened a booth in an antique mall with her friend. I always admire women entrepreneurs, so good luck with the new store!
Today I join my Friday Flower with two other girls in Blog land, Laura and
Melissa (I will talk about her some other time, she is so funny!).
If you don’t know them yet go for a visit, they are lovely.

I hope everyone will have a good weekend.
Mine is planned with unpacking stuff, cleaning and painting.
But you don’t hear me complain, because right now, at this very moment,
with a little girl hanging on my neck, in a half empty house
(because today is Moving Day!),
sitting on the floor typing away at this post,
I realized again just how lucky we are.
We have a good life and I enjoy it more everyday!

What a beautiful flower that is! There’s a photo blogger that just started a Flickr group for lovers of purple. That would be right up your alley with this one. Oh yeah, I believe it is Cottage 960.

    Hi Maureen,

Love the beautiful purple Calla lily and the way that you have teamed it up with the pink berries.
I wonder what they are? they are so pretty and have not seen them before.
Good luck with the move and I hope that you have an enjoyable weekend

    Hugs

    Hi Maureen
Thank you so much for giving me the lovely flower! I am honoured, sorry it has taken me a while to comment but have been away on a little holiday, which I shall write about very soon. It is a lovely idea, we should all give each other a flower a day!!
