This nice award comes with a twist… a couple of questions….
Are you ready? Set? Here we go…
I started this blog to give my running-around-like-a-mad-woman-thoughts some focus. And to be more creative again. At first I didn’t think anyone would be interested in reading it, but after only a few minutes being in Blog land, I got a comment and follower! It was from Kimberly, and another minute after her Desiree joined in! I was over the moon, because I was reading their blogs for some time already, never leaving a comment saying how much I liked their blogs. I was a silent reader. And then they actually gave me comments and joined my little blog! The third comment came from another blogster who also just stepped into Blogland, from the blog A house and Home, she was and still is so friendly to me, although I don’t know her name, it doesn’t really matter in Blogland. So the why in this is, I love the interaction I get with people in the blogging world! It is something I look forward too and I’m glad I started this journey. As my sister-in-law Naomi said, no matter where I will live, I can take blogging with me. She is absolutely right!
Well, as a proud mum of two daughters you can guess what I’m about to say… And no, it’s not having my babies, I mean seriously, delivering a baby is painful and hard work, but think 5 to 10 seconds later and voila! Best memory number one and two is holding my girls for the first time in my arms with my sweetheart next to me. I know, cliché but true. And I can’t pick another single memory because there are so many of them in so many forms, like being with friends and family and laughing together or when I’m helping someone with something small or big, their thank you is a sweet memory too.
Pffff! That’s a hard one… It depends when I was reading them. Different times, different books and we have a lot of books in our house. But there is a series of books that I never get tired of reading… Don’t laugh, but I’m a big Harry Potter fan. I think J.K. Rowling writes brilliant. I love so many of her sentences, the way she puts them together and takes you into that world, love it!
Again, pfff! The pressure of choosing…. Ok, I like:
Beaches, with Bette Middler, a real girlfriend movie.
The Matrix, nr. 1, with Keanu Reeves, Sweetheart and I watched it so many times.
The Godfather, 1, 2, and 3, with Al Pacino, one of my favourite classics.
(scratching my head here…. what else….)
Oh yes, Charlie and Lola, everything, starring Charlie and Lola.
(it’s a children’s cartoon, for the people who are raising eyebrows).
Although they never made a movie… Do tv series count?
Because if so, I love Sex and the City, series and movies!
Things? Things…. eh,… I don’t think I would die missing these things, they make life more comfortable or bring back memories. Having said that, I would not like to miss my car, my contact lenses, every single photo we have of the girls, books and my morning coffee with milk and sugar. Actually, the photo’s are backed up because I would be very, very, very miserable if they would be gone forever.
I think I would change it to Charlie. I love that name, even though it’s more common for a boy.
I don’t know if it’s unique or interesting but I like to read magazines from back to front. And I count things when I get bored or almost get mad, like the tiles in the bathroom or magazines in a waiting room. It can be anything that my eye catches and that you can count….
I don’t think I would do that, even if I could. I like being Maureen.
I believe that it’s a gift to bring another human being into the world, only a woman can do that. But on a lighter note, the fact that we can do more things at the same time, or totally change our minds in a matter of seconds or that we don’t have something hanging and swinging outside our body but everything is nicely tucked inside or put in a bra, well that’s priceless!
Some of these questions I wouldn’t normally think about, so having to do it was fun.
Have you met Bron already? Her blog is super, go have fun exploring!
And now I would like to give this
Super Comments Award
