Handmade and Bloglove

Good sunny Monday morning!
If you are a regular reader here, you will know how I love handmade.
It doesn’t really matter what it is, if it’s handmade I already love it.
The time and effort put into it by someone gives every item a unique touch.
So when I was browsing some blogs and saw that Wendy from the blog 15 Coast Road
also has an Etsy shop, I wanted to take a look. Just a look…. ahum….
I’m telling you, internet shopping is dangerous….
I ended up buying something at 7.20 in the morning…
I couldn’t resist, it’s handmade and really, a couple of clicks and you are done….
Dangerous I tell you!
It’s perfectly made, the choice of fabric, the little detail inside
and for a very good price, it all won me over before I could say Holy Cow!
Ok, I did say this softly to myself, and than smiled because I just bought
a lovely handmade make-up bag! Knowing me, I will put different things in it
seeing that I hardly ever wear make-up, but every girl needs a little bag, right?
She also gave me two little bags filled with lavender
which are looking and smelling great. Thanks again Wendy!
And speaking of handmade with love….
Many of you already know Melissa from the gorgeous blog Miss Sew and So.
If you don’t, prepare yourself first with a drink because you will be reading for a while.
Last week she not only send me something beautiful with snail mail,
she also gave me some Blog Love in the form of an award.
This Blog Love Award means
* I love your blog and thank you for inspiring me *
I was super flattered!
Thanks Miss M. for thinking of me and my little blog
and for being such a sweet friend!
I’m happy to pass this Blog Love award on to more people,
in no special order, just some of my daily blog reads.
Maria from Dreamy Whites
Maaike from creJJtion
Amanda from Small Acorns
I only picked three but I have many more
blogs I love to read and would like to give this award to,
but than this list would be very long…
With the award comes a funny twist (no questions involved this time)
but I have to share with you my first post….
I started in August last year and I’m still very happy with my blog journey!
If you haven’t read it, go have a look over here.
Also, my handmade love doesn’t stop with this post….
A give away is coming very soon…
Have a good day!

I sometimes get terribly lost in Etsy world! I didn’t know it exsisted before I started blogging. Thank you for the intro to Wendy….I’m looking for something for my mum’s birthday, so will go and get lost there for a while.

Im an etsy sellers dream…Too easy to click and buy, but there are so many beautiful purchases to be made!! What else is a girl to do..Love your makeup bag Maureen, gorgeous fabric. I recently purchased a linen lavender bag from Jill from Nice Day At Rosies and received it today – divine – and all the way from the UK. Congratulations on the blog love award – you deserve it. thank you for the links to other well deserving ladies. Have a lovely week.

I’ve been sewing all morning, getting new stock made for my shop and making birthday gifts, and I just came downstairs to make some lunch and check emails and found your comment, so popped over here for a read…..

Thanks for the glowing compliments – you have absolutely made my day!

And I am so pleased that you are happy with your purchase.

I’m also planning a giveaway later this week so keep your eyes peeled for that one. :)

    Thanks again Maureen.

I really love your little bag, Maureen! I am a big fan of handmade, and Etsy shops are my downfall, there are just so many beautiful websites! And it is SO convenient!!

    Congratulations on your award!

Nog even geduld :-)

Hi Maureen… your post made me laugh so much… I was subject to the same “whoops I clicked” brain freeze last night! It happens to me often! I love the detail inside the little bag – that would have had me for sure!

Thank you Maureen for your lovely comments and tips for my market stall (my recent post) I will have a go and may use some of my new stamps I have received recently thanks to your link to the etsy store for vintage stamps. Yes, I can see why you would be enamored. Your purchase is lovely. And the little extras are perfect. Sadly, I don’t do any internet shopping .. Etsy must be a wonderful thing. In this country, mail is so unreliable, it just isn’t worth it to try purchasing anything. :/ Hope you are having a wonderful day. Tammy
