If you’re looking for a recipe, you’ve got the wrong blog…

“mum, do you want to make cupcakes with me?”

I swear this child of mine is confused….

This isn’t what I want to hear at 8 am…..

Her daddy is the one who does all the baking around here.
He likes doing this with both girls and they love to bake. Sometimes on a weekly basis.

I’m just not that into baking (or cooking for that matter….).
But I’m not telling you anything new….

I love to eat cupcakes though, no problem with eating, nope.

Seeing this photo made me smile, lovely quote on the wall don’t you think?

Maybe I should start a whole line of great kitchen quotes, you know,
to stimulate the cooking genes in me…. sure it will work, right?

Okay, who am I kidding…

But I can see how lovely kitchen ware with inspiring text would make
a great addition in the kitchen. Let me think about it, who knows what I’ll whip up….

On another note, there is a new Blog of the Week.
This time it’s Caroline from the blog Constantly Evolving.
I love her photo’s, really inspiring to make mine better. Do you want to get some inspiration?
Hop over to her and say Hi!

For now, I have blogs to visit, laundry to tackle and my little girl is calling for some mama attention,
so I’ve got to love you and leave you my blog friends.

See you soon!

Oh…that quote is funny! It’s nice that your husband likes to bake…my husband doesn’t know where the oven is! Now I am off to visit Caroline!

Today I made time to bake since I haven’t done it in a while. It’s been so busy around here. I swear, I don’t know where the time goes. So busy at work and then I get home and the evening just whizzes by. One more day of school and then the weekend begins, so hopefully I will have more time to do something creative. Wishing you a great rest of the week. Hugs to all, Tammy

Great post – that’s hilarious! I actually quite like cooking and I love making cupcakes – I just don’t like making them with my children! I feel really bad – but I simply can’t stand the mess! I didn’t realise that I was a control freak until the day my twins were old enough to want to bake with me. Talk about ‘Helicopter Mum’ – despite my best intentions, I was grabbing spoons, and bowls from them left right and center! My husband on the other hand – LOVES cooking with the children, so luckily that fulfills their need to destroy the kitchen once in a while – thank God for Hubbie!! xx

I don’t like to cook but I like to bake – because I prefer to eat cakes as opposed to real food.

That’s a great photo! I’m not really into cooking either, and when it comes to baking you can just forget about it in my house. If Hubby wants something baked he does it himself.. and rather well I might add. :-)
