Hello from a very warm and sunny Switzerland!
We are off later today to Amsterdam, our hometown and I’m looking forward
seeing our friends and family again. Although the weather isn’t great, most of our
activities will be inside anyway.
Next week Saturday July 7, we are getting together with 62 people
to celebrate the start of our newest adventure, moving to Dubai.
The guests will come to the Schreierstoren, a very old tower in the middle of Amsterdam.
This is where the first pioneers came with their boats to Amsterdam and from where they sailed
of to New Amsterdam (now New York).

Afterwards we are floating too through the waters, in the canals of the city.
The last time I did this I was 3, now my girls are going for the first time.

Lately I have been Google’s best friend (had to look up so much information about locations and all)
and seeing Amsterdam through fresh eyes made me love ‘our’ city even more.
It has it’s flaws, like any big city, but to me it’s full of good memories.
This is our invitation, some of our holiday snaps to give people a peak into Dubai living.
I even made a slogan, Dubai Here We Come!
Can you tell we are excited? A whole new lifestyle is going to start soon,
I hope you want to read along and follow me on our newest journey in the Middle East.
We are leaving Switzerland in the middle of August, so before the movers are coming,
there is still time to blog. I know I haven’t been the best blogger lately, but with the upcoming move
involving a lot of paperwork and phone calls, children on school holiday at home
and we still haven’t booked our family holiday yet, it’s on my to-do list…. I still have 3 weeks before we go…., it’s been hectic to say the least.
Not to mention planning for next week, meant that blogging has been on the back of my lists.
I will be back blogging after the 11th of July and than I can reveal the things I can’t tell you right now….
They say that 2012 is the year of change.
For us it certainly is.
Hope to see you when I’m back, thanks for all the comments and emails, they make my day!
